Dutch Language Courses

Dutch language course A1 [Afterwork]

After a hard day of work you grab a quick bite to eat and head over to Boven de Balie for your favorite class of the week: Dutch.

Together with 4-8 other expats, you learn the basics of this incredible language. The starting point is always a real-life language action which we will practice. The exercises are complemented with grammar, extra vocabulary and pronunciation skills. Classes are educational by nature, but know having fun while learning is very important to me.

And the teacher? Well, I have been an expat in Germany for years. I understand what you are going through.

After 10 weeks you are able to introduce yourself, structure a sentence, order at the café or in a restaurant and get around at the market or in a clothing shop. The course includes 20 hours of class, feedback on your homework and other assignments, a test and a certificate. The book, Nederlands in Gang, is not included.

Afterwork: Tuesday, 7-9 pm | May 7 – July 9* | Nederlands in Gang chapter 1-7 | € 300,-

Why Tuesday? Well, it is the most random day of the week. Think about it, all the other days have something: Monday is the start of the week, Wednesday is the middle day of the week. Thursday is ‘almost weekend’ and  Friday is the best workday of the week. Then you have Saturday and Sunday left: The Weekend. So Tuesday seems to be the perfect day to host a language course.

* This course will be available as well from September 3 to November 5.
